Maternity
Newborn
-The best time to photograph a newborn baby is when they are under two weeks of age, they are still nice and sleepy and cuddley at this age. You can contact me at any time during your pergnancy to give me an estimated due date, I will then make a tentative booking and when you arrive home from hospital with your brand new baby you can contact me to arrange a suitable time and day for your session.
-Your newborn session will be held in your home, weekdays Tuesday thru Friday.
-I don’t want to rush so your newborn session can take any where from 2-4 hours, allowing enough time for feeding and comforting. Please plan accordingly.
-With newborns you will want to have a change of clothing as it is almost impossible to avoid accidents such as spit up or getting wet with a naked baby. So, don’t worry, this too is expected and I will have several blankets on hand for infant sessions to swap in/out. Make sure to bring the wet wipes and diapers. If it is summer, I will ask you to turn your A/C off and warm up the house to keep baby nice and warm while in their birthday suit. If it is cooler, I will bring a space heater (Please mention if you own one already! Saves me the trouble!) If parents and/or siblings would like to participate in the newborn session, we will get those photos taken care of first, so please let me know if you plan on participating.
Babies
The ages and stages of babies are all special, so when to book is completely up to you! But my recommendation for the best images is not so much ages, but in milestones
-Pushing up and smiling at the world (usually around 4 months)
-Sitting unassisted and trying to scoot around the room (usually around 6-7 months)
-First birthday
After Your Session
-A few days after your session, if I have gained your approval, I will post a few sneak peak images on my Facebook page (find that here). If you have Liked my page, I will be able to tag your images and you can then use the photos as your profile picture. I must ask that you do not crop the images in anyway.
- A week or so after your session, after I have had a chance to edit all of your images, I will come to your home for an ordering consultation. After which you will have 14 days to solidify and place your order directly through me. You will also receive your access code to view and share your images online.
